Our board

Jesse Fried is the Dane Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, where he teaches courses on corporate law, corporate governance, securities regulation, executive compensation, and venture capital and private equity.  Before joining the Harvard faculty in 2009, Fried was a Professor of Law and Faculty Co-Director of the Berkeley Center for Law, Business and the Economy (BCLBE) at the University of California, Berkeley. Fried has also been a visiting professor at Columbia University Law School, Duisenberg School of Finance, Hebrew University, IDC Herzilya, and Tel Aviv University. He holds an A.B. and A.M in Economics from Harvard University, and a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. Jesse Fried is The Deborah Project's founder and Board Chair. 

Eric  D. Roiter is currently a lecturer on law at Boston University with courses in Corporations, Financial Regulations and Corporate Governance. He has taught at numerous law schools including Boston College, Harvard Law School and Columbia University Law School. Before becoming an academic, Eric was the General Counsel to Fidelity Investments, and then became the Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Eric started his legal career at the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton.

Alexander R. Berger is a managing director at an investment management firm. Alex began his career on the White House staff. Alex previously served as a Trustee of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Israel on Campus Coalition, and on the National Council of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Alex received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The George Washington University.
